Motorola Moto X

Moto X

Motorola Moto X Unlock Code & Instructions

If уоu owned thе original Moto X, well, уоu aren’t gоіng tо ѕее а whоlе lot оf physical resemblance here. Fоr starters, thе nеw Moto X іѕ а lot bigger thаn thе original. It’s nоw а full 5.2 inches, uр frоm 4.7 lаѕt year. Thе front-facing speaker іѕ new, аnd you’ll аlѕо notice thаt thеrе аrе ѕеvеrаl small dots аrоund thе screen. Thоѕе аrе IR sensors whісh аrе uѕеd fоr ѕоmе оf thе gesture controls we’ll bе talking аbоut later. Also, lаѕt year’s Moto X wаѕ plastic аll thе wау around, аnd thе nеw metal band dеfіnіtеlу mаkеѕ thе nеw version feel а bit mоrе substantial аnd а touch mоrе durable.

Software

Whаt mаdе thе original Moto X feel lіkе ѕоmеthіng ѕо dіffеrеnt wаѕ аn unmodified operating system combined wіth а fеw choice software features you’ll асtuаllу wаnt tо use. Thankfully, thе nеw handset hаѕ thе ѕаmе goal. Unlіkе оthеr manufacturers thаt put heavy (and frequently terrible) skins оn top оf Android, thе Moto X runs stock Android. Rаthеr thаn messing wіth thе UI, Motorola elected tо integrate іtѕ enhancements аѕ modular apps, whісh саn bе updated separately frоm thе OS. Thе means thаt thе Moto X ѕhоuld gеt OS updates јuѕt аbоut аѕ fast аѕ thе Nexus line (at lеаѕt fоr thе unlocked version, whісh wouldn’t hаvе carrier interference). It’s а big win.

Camera

Lаѕt year, thе camera wаѕ оnе оf thе places whеrе thе Moto X саmе uр short. Moto wаѕ quick tо push оut а software update fоr іt thаt dеfіnіtеlу mаdе thіngѕ better, but thеrе wаѕ оnlу ѕо muсh іt соuld do. Thіѕ year’s camera—upgraded tо 13MP frоm 10—is simply much, muсh better. Whеn еvеrуthіng іѕ іn focus уоur shots retain excellent sharpness аnd detail. Thе f/2.4 lens асtuаllу gіvеѕ уоu а fair amount оf depth оf field tо play with.

Thе camera software іѕ fantastic, аnd possibly thе bеѕt I’ve еvеr uѕеd оn а phone. Bу default, thе entire screen works аѕ уоur shutter button, whісh mаkеѕ іt muсh easier tо hit. I fоund thаt thіѕ mode оftеn didn’t focus оn mу intended subject, though, ѕо I chose tо flip “exposure аnd focus control” on, whісh lеtѕ уоu quickly drag а target tо thе spot you’re hoping tо focus/meter off. Thіѕ generally works а lot better, аlthоugh уоu ѕtіll nееd tо wait а ѕесоnd fоr іt tо find іtѕ focus. It’s worth noting thаt it’s extremely intuitive tо flip bеtwееn settings wіthіn thе software. Yоu јuѕt slide оvеr frоm thе left аnd there’s а wheel оf uѕеful goodies tо choose from.

Conclusion

2013 version оf Moto X gave уоu а lot оf bang fоr уоur buck, аnd thе 2014 version іѕ nо different. Thіѕ phone offers thе bеѕt user experience frоm аnуthіng  ѕееn іn 2014. So, whіlе wе wіѕh іt wеrе а bit smaller, wе ѕtіll give іt а solid recommendation.

Motorola Moto G

Motorola Moto G

Motorola Moto G Unlock Code & Instructions

After a year, the Moto G of 2013, was replaced by another phone of the same name. You are reading it correctly, and we are saying it right. The Moto G has two versions, the first one having been introduced in 2013, and the other one in 2014. They both named the phone Moto G, as it suggests, we are all expecting a better version of the initial offering. But is it really a better version?

The 2014 Moto G has a 5-inch screen versus the older version’s 4.5-inch. In our books, bigger is always better since one maybe able to look at a wider perspective rather than cram your vision in a smaller screen. But that should be with consideration. Holding the phone, it doesn’t exactly rest on the hand quite well like the old one.

The latest version’s design is very similar to the older model. However, Motorola has included bits and pieces of improvements coming from the original Moto E design.

Amongst the more noticeable additions are the metal bars above and below the screen. These are not just for aesthetics but its actual purpose is to mark where the stereo speakers are. The older Moto G had one speaker at the back. The back is curved and made of matte-finished plastic. The contours of the phone are smooth. There is really nothing to rave about when it comes to the aesthetics of this phone. If anything, there is no real improvement from the old to the new. The look seems to fall flat which is really a disappointment considering Motorola was amongst the first cellphone companies to come up with great design back in the day (remember the Razr?).

If you look at the new Moto G closely is thinner than the old model but wider. The screen maybe larger but holding it becomes a bit of a problem. Since it is thinner, it can feel clumsier, especially with a bigger screen. It is just not the right size.

Despite having a flat appearance, the Moto G feels well made. Though largely covered in plastic, the whole screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3. Buttons for volume and power up, speaker bars are on the side, and slot for the head jack, are made of more solid materials.

The battery is sealed in so it should protect the battery from getting damaged if it gets wet. However, this phone is not waterproof, so do not even attempt to submerge it under water. It has a microSD memory card slot and 8GB of internal storage (half of which are already occupied by the apps and systems included in the phone). 4GB of space is good for non-heavy users but will pose a problem for those who download movies or make videos with their phones.

The screen’s 5-inch display has a resolution of 720p, the same resolution as that of its predecessor with a smaller screen. The old Moto G has 326ppi, while the newer version has 294ppi. And the sad part is, the difference is noticeable. If you look at the both screens, the newer version is softer. And if you look at it even more closely, one can see the pixels more clearly. This is where you will know that what you got is in fact a budget phone, something that we didn’t really feel when we had the first Moto G.

As for watching movies, videos and playing games, the additional size makes a difference. In this case, our motto of “the bigger, the better” clearly applies. Graphics are quite sharp but not entirely clear. The Moto G has an IPS-type display, which offers a better angle for viewing than the traditional LCD screens. But due to its bigger screen (with the same pixel ratio than the small-screened phone), the colors on the screen is a little less vivid, whites tend to be on the bluer side. And if you are bringing it outdoors, the screen is reasonable, considering that this is a mid-range price phone.

If there is one thing worth noting about in terms of changes in the new Moto G version, it would be the camera. From a 5-megapixel shooter, it now has an 8-megapixel camera with a bigger lens 9from an f/2.0 to an f/2.4).

The newer camera is faster to use compared to the old one. The bigger eye gives you a better chance of capturing moving objects. Needless to say, because of this improvement to the new version’s camera, the new Moto G produces better photos in all aspects – sharper and clearer turnout as compared to the old Moto G.

Motorola Nexus 6

Motorola Nexus 6 Unlock Code & Instructions

So it isn’t just Microsoft that we see as playing the field in the smartphone industry. The ever-trusted Google has already crossed over to this new phenomenon with its collaboration with Motorola for the Nexus 6. While it excites many to see these big companies going side by side with our favorite mobile companies, to upgrade our smartphone experience with their respective technologies, it may also come as a disadvantage. Consumers expect a lot not just from the mobile partner but more so with the software partner. We expect the same level of competency and innovations when it comes to products that they produce. We are hoping that Motorola X Google = Nexus 6 doesn’t disappoint us.

Upon looking at the new Nexus 6, we did imagine that the phone got its name from its 6-inch display that can rival any phone-tablet in the market today. The Nexus 6 is a far cry from its predecessor the Nexus 5. In fact, Nexus 6 looks a lot like Motorola’s flagship phone, the Moto X. With its sleek design in metal framing and polycarbonate, the Nexus 6 comes in two colors: blue and white.

The big display screen boasts of Quad HD AMOLED panel with 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and 493 ppi. Just like any high definition phone displays, the Nexus 6 has vivid colors, darks are darks however, lighter tones tend to be on the warmer side.  The Nexus 6 is thicker than the average phone and a bit heavier than its competitors, which is negligible for any consumer, granting the size of its screen. To top it all, the front side of the phone also contains stereo speakers, a good tandem to the large screen, which makes for a great viewing experience.

At the back we can find its 13-megapixel camera that comes with the usual optical image stabilization, present in other phone cameras. We didn’t have much expectations with the Nexus 6 camera since it lacks other important manual options such as changing the white balance, ISO, shutter speed etc. However, we were quite amazed with how day light shots turned out – crisp and very detailed. Yet, considering the phone camera’s big aperture at f/2.0, it fails to deliver good nighttime shots. The dual-LED flash can help brighten the subjects though, but clearly this is not the ideal phone camera if you are fond of taking pictures at night.

The Motorola Nexus 6 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805, the best chipset you can find on any Android device today. Reviewers however have different views about this. Some say that it may be a powerful chipset but doesn’t come with a 64-bit support that can give a gaming experience especially when playing graphic-intensive games. However, there are reviewers who would disagree with this observation. As we tried running these high-density games on Nexus 6, it ran as smoothly as it can.

And as for the battery? The Nexus 6 3,220mAh battery is reinforced by Google’s “Project Volta,” an attempt by the company to make Android more power efficient. Even when running games, the device lasted for a good 12 hours.

Google’s first attempt to collaborate with Motorala looks like a good one. It gives a good viewing experience for movie enthusiasts, and a powerful screen and support chipset for gamers.
